09 — Questions

Good to know.

Do I need any experience?
No. Level 1 starts from the beginning — your first AI image, your first character, your first moving shot. If you already work with these tools, tell us and we'll place you at the right level.
What do I need to take part?
A computer (a laptop is fine) and a stable internet connection. Many AI tools have free tiers that are enough to start; we'll always show a free or low-cost route, and tell you clearly when a paid tool is worth it. A phone works for watching lessons and live classes.
How much data do the classes use?
A 90-minute live class on Google Meet uses roughly 0.5–1.5 GB depending on video quality. Recorded lessons adapt to your connection, and you can drop the quality to save data. Every class is recorded, so a dropped connection never means a missed lesson.
When are the live classes?
Saturdays, 10:00–11:30 South African time, on Google Meet. They're part of the Academy and Pro plans, and the recording is in your library afterwards.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your dashboard — no fee, no notice period. Cancel at least a day before your billing date to avoid the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
What's your refund policy?
New members can ask for a full refund within 7 days of their first payment, as long as they haven't attended a live class, watched more than 2 lessons or booked coaching. Monthly renewals aren't refunded once the month has started, and billing mistakes are always refunded in full. Read the full terms.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Upgrade any time and the extra features open straight away; downgrades take effect at your next billing date.
Do you issue tax invoices?
Yes. Digital Characters is VAT-registered and every payment comes with a tax invoice by email, also kept in your dashboard. All prices include 15% VAT.
Is there an age limit?
The Academy is designed for adults and older teens. Members under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to the terms and manage the payment.
